John Wayne is without a doubt the quintessential All-American hero. Strong, silent, frank and rugged, he personified the ways of the Wild West and beyond, becoming an institution both on the big screen and in real life. Blue steel: The hero tries to save a town on the brink of collapse by revealing that there is gold to be mined in the hills nearby. Lawless range: In the Pequeno Valley, John Middleton investigates the illegal cattle rustling that has been going on. The dawn rider: John Mason is gunned down while trying to avenge his father's death during a robbery gone wrong by hunting down the man who killed him.
