Description
John Clum lived a colorful life. He was in charge of the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona (1874-1877), dealing with such individuals as Geronimo, Victorio, etc. He founded the Tombstone Epitaph newspaper and was mayor of Tombstone, Arizona in 1880. He supported Wyatt Earp, Virgil Earp, and Morgan Earp as defenders of the law. He also worked with the Southern Pacific Railroad.
