Ballygobackwards Castle is full of Irish revolutionaries. Michael is their leader, training them ready for the Easter uprising in Dublin. But first, he has to ensure as many as possible survive the Castle. Not easy with Winter always there, ready to escort to the other side. War games, poteen, all are hazards ready to kill the unwary, but the end is likely worse, Winter dogging their steps.
