Earth is attacked and seven million people are killed. The crew of the Enterprise take off into the uncharted region, known as the Delphic Expanse to find those responsible. Along the way they travel through time and meet their own descendants. It is a race to stop the Xindi before they destroy the Earth and all of humanity.
